Art Museums

Madrid offers some of the largest collections of paintings in the world and the majority of the exhibits are housed in the three main museums in the city; El Museo del Prado, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, and el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia. The best way to see them is to get the “Abono Paseo del Arte”, a special, discounted voucher that allows you to visit each of the three main museums one time over the course of a year. The price is only 7.66 euros and can be purchased at any of the three museums. Expect to take the entire day and devote it to just one museum at a time…there´s much to see!
